Celso Amor

Celso Amor is the Assistant Bar Manager at Tigerlily

Grown-up in Southern Spain in the faithful wine and sherry culture, Celso started his career in a cosy bar, managed by Luis Oliveira, an ex-Diageo account manager at Marbella city centre where he recognized his skills for the first time. After being recognized by another bartender who kept an eye on him, he got his first Head Bartender Position in a fancy restaurant named Back! in Feb 2017. With its very first signature menu “La riqueza de las etnias”, Back! was recommended on the Michelin guide by the end of 2017 which was the changing point in his career and he decided to go and step further, reset everything and move to Scotland to learn as much as he could about Gin, Whisky and distilleries.

In Edinburgh, he was looking for a place to improve his speed with bottles and cocktail knowledge, and The Dome was the perfect place to do it. He was quickly promoted to Senior Bartender. After a year of working at The Dome,  he signed with Waldorf Astoria to continue being a bartender. He won the “Waldorf Astoria Cocktail Competition” in the first year. He was later hired as a Head Bartender at Radisson Collection. This led to him launching his second menu, inspired by Hatti Pattinson.

In 2020 Celso decided to be back in Spain to be close to his family and worked in Masterclasses to bring new qualified blood to the industry. By mid-2021, he was hired as the Bar manager at Purple Rain Lounge, a luxury restaurant in Villa Gadea Hotel (Altea) where he designed his third menu “Pink”.  Since the start of 2022, his drink list "Raise of the Spring" is available at The Daiquiri. He now works as the Assistant Bar Manager at Tigerlily.
