Maura Milia is the Deputy Bar Manager at The Connaught Bar at The Connaught Hotel in London. Originally from Sardinia, Italy; once finished her studies in Human Sciences, she moved to London, were her passion for the hospitality begun. After working at handful of different luxury establishments, in 2014 Maura joined The Connaught Bar at The Connaught Hotel, one of London’s premier cocktails establishments.

She began on a casual basis as a cocktail waitress all the way to Deputy Bar Manager. Along with her mentor Agostino Perrone and the Connaught Bar Team, they
captured the title of World’s Best Cocktail Bar and Best International Hotel Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards in 2016, together with other 7 other  awards on the same year, as well as ‘Hearing Legend of the List 2018’ making into the top 5 World’s 50 Best Bars and Best Bar in Europe and 2nd World’s
Best Bar in 2019, finally taking home the trophy of The World’s Best Bar 2020.

One of Maura’s most important personal achievements was being awarded
‘Front of House Star of the Year’ at the Class Bar Awards 2018 . It was the very first time in the history of The Connaught Bar for a female personality to be recognised and not only that, but a personality from the other side of the bar. “I was so pleased to be able to represent this side of the bar industry as well as representing the importance and the value all the women in Hospitality”. For Maura, creating experiences for The Connaught Bar guests does not just come from the excellent products they provide, but also from the way they deliver those products, creating unique and memorable moments for every single guest.
