Xamorfos is a gin produced following the London Dry disciplinary and contains ten spices from Italy and South East Asia. Eight of these (juniper, coriander, angelica root, iris root, lemongrass, Kaffir leaves, Kampot red pepper, Timut pepper) are divided into three groups and infused on different days depending on the incidence and the intensity i want to achieve. The alcohol content of the macerate is also different for each group of spices, depending on whether they are berries, roots or leaves). At the end of the infusion period, i move everything into the boiler and before start distilling i add the last two botanicals to the steam distillation basket, elderflower and red rose petals. This gives me a more delicate and softer extraction of aromas, more affecting the smell than the taste. All labels are hand numbered by me, and all bottles are individually labeled. I didn't want to automate any process, keeping the same craftsmanship i had when i distilled in the apartment.

Xamorfos is a gin with a singular appearance and history. The producer, Lorenzo Spagnolo, learned to distill in the kitchen of his apartment in 2015, with a small 2-liter still. After two years of experiments, he bought a 10-liter bottle, giving life to batches of 12 bottles that he sold to friends and acquaintances. This small smuggling ring was the school that pushed him to expand production and with an act of extreme sincerity he wrote on the label: LEGALLY DISTILLED SINCE 2021.
This unique label is supported by two unique rubber bands. The reason is very simple, the shape of the bottle does not allow you to apply an adhesive label that does not crease on the curved side. Therefore it was decided not to glue it and secure it with a couple of rubber bands.
