For over 120 years, Hacienda Centinela has been a proud guardian of tequila-making heritage, deeply rooted in Arandas, Los Altos de Jalisco—a region renowned for its rich culture, highland agave, and red volcanic soil. Established in 1904, we have remained dedicated to craftsmanship, tradition, and authenticity, producing 100% additive-free tequila that embodies the essence of our land.
Our tequila is made with self-farmed agave, cultivated to peak maturity and slow-roasted in hand-built masonry ovens for 48 hours, preserving the natural sweetness and complexity of the plant. We believe in prioritizing people over machines, ensuring that every step of our process is guided by expertise, precision, and care.
As a family-owned and independent Mexican distillery, Hacienda Centinela has upheld its integrity and commitment to the community for generations. We employ over 500 local workers, fostering economic and social development while preserving the ancestral mastery of tequila-making. Today, under the leadership of José Hernández Jr., we continue to balance tradition with innovation, honoring the past while shaping the future of tequila.
