Ad Gefrin, in Wooler, is Northumberland’s first whisky distillery in over 200 years, rooted in heritage yet defined by innovation. Inspired by the royal court of the Anglo-Saxon kings at Gefrin just 4 miles down the road, our distillery brings together local provenance, craftsmanship, and storytelling to create spirits that are both timeless and distinctly Northumbrian.

Our single malt whisky is currently maturing in our bonded warehouses, carefully nurtured to develop the rich, complex flavours worthy of its Northumbrian heritage. While we patiently wait for its release, Ad Gefrin has already introduced premium blended whiskies and spirits that express our commitment to quality, showcasing the skill of our distillers and offering a first taste of what is to come.
