Blue Star Tequila began with a simple belief: life’s best moments are shared, around a fire, at the table, with people who inspire your boldest, most curious self.

Founded by Tom Carr and a close group of lifelong friends from Texas and New Zealand, Blue Star was born from a shared love of great tequila and true adventure. What started as conversations under wide Texas skies soon led us to Jalisco, Mexico, where we partnered with artisans and producers who shared our spirit of curiosity.

In the highlands’ rich red soil and dry air, we discovered more than the perfect agave azul, we found a community, a craft, and a willingness to experiment. Inspired by practices from the wine world, we began harvesting our 100% agave azul under moonlight, during the cool night hours. The results spoke for themselves: fresher agave, preserved natural properties, and uniquely vibrant flavors. It also meant our jimadors could work in comfort, away from the desert’s harsh heat.

Today, Blue Star proudly offers the world’s first unfiltered, additive-free, night-harvested tequila... A spirit as real, raw, and vibrant as those who drink it.
