ShiShiZa Spirits is a Croatia-based producer, founded in 2024 and dedicated to crafting small-batch coffee liqueur with a modern profile — bold in coffee character, refined in structure, and designed for both sipping and cocktail performance. Founded by British expat Laith Hardy, ShiShiZa began as a two-year development project with a clear goal: create a coffee liqueur that can stand alone with depth and elegance, while also performing flawlessly as a cocktail mixer behind the bar.
The challenge was balance — preserving the boldness and intensity of real coffee without heaviness, harsh bitterness, or an overly sweet finish. With over a decade of experience in coffee sourcing, roasting, sensory development and quality control, Laith led the product engineering and flavour direction with a relentless focus on consistency and refinement.
Production is carried out in Croatia in partnership with experienced distillers, combining craft distillation heritage with modern precision. Every batch is tuned through controlled extraction, blending, and maturation, resulting in a coffee liqueur built for neat drinking, ice service, and modern classics such as the Espresso Martini — delivering espresso-style depth with bartender efficiency and repeatable results.
While the wider ShiShiZa Spirits roadmap includes future innovations such as coffee whisky and coffee barrel-aged gin, the current focus is on perfecting a modern classic: a coffee liqueur with clarity, power, and versatility.
