"Bus Whisky" is named after the distillery's water source. For thousands of years, the Peelrand fault has formed a natural formation of pointing water sources in eastern Brabant, such as the well in Handel, which attracts many pilgrims and believers every year. And the Willibrordus well in Oss, which is said to have been blessed by St. Willibrord. Wisdom wells carry with them a rich history. In the hamlet of Bus in Nistelrode, the whiskey distillery's water source is located in the yard of the farm where owners Dennis Hurkmans & Ezra Leeger live and where the malting barley for Bus Whisky is also grown.
