Peter In Florence is one of the first micro distillery specializing in Gin in Tuscany, Italy.
Peter In Florence is a company born out of friendship, the passion of Gin lovers, the love of Tuscany and the knowledge that the best ingredient for making Gin comes from Tuscany which is considered as the best Juniper in the world, as well as the iris root valuable ingredient from the Chianti hills.
The company was founded in 2017 with the goal of becoming a company specializing in Gin and spirits mixing. The name "Peter in Florence." is a tribute to Mr. Hoffer's father "Peter," also a gin enthusiast, an Englishman who came to Italy after the war and fell in love with Tuscany and its local products. Podere Castellare located in Pelago, Tuscany, owned by Patrizio Pandolfi, Mr. Hoffer's longtime friend and partner in this venture, was chosen as the perfect place to build this exclusive distillery. The estate is where Patrizio Pandolfi grew up with his family, now transformed into an Eco-resort located in the Florentine hills, where the best botanicals for flavoring gin grow.
We produces aprox. 24000 bottles of Gin per year. It currently offers 3 types of Gin: Peter In Florence London Dry Gin, Peter In The Navy Strength Gin, Peter In Florence Spring Limited Edition Gin. Besides Gin it offers a line of pre-mixed cocktails "Peter In Florence Cocktails" with Peter In Florence Cocktails Negroni, Peter In Florence Cocktails Martini, Peter In Florence Cocktails Martinez. For the production of Peter In Florence gin it is used the only Caterhead still in Italy and if not also in Tuscany the still that uses steam infusion which allows a more delicate and natural extraction of essential oils and aromas. The technological characteristics of the still makes it state-of-the-art, unique in Italy, because it allows to control with a very high degree of precision all the fundamental parameters of distillation, such alcoholic degree, density and temperature that guarantees a high quality of product.
