My name is André Neto, I'm Portuguese and I started working as a bartender 9 years ago in Portugal, at the beginning just for fun while studying  Marketing in Lisbon.

Having fun, socializing, meeting new people and getting to know myself was my only goal, but I quickly developed a passion for the bar and cocktails. Having no training or any background in the bar industry, all my training came from my desire to learn and desire to know and know more about spirits and cocktails. I worked in several renowned places in Lisbon and with many professionals who helped and taught me as well. Most of my training was on-job, but the search and exploration of information was always a constant, and thanks to that I learned a lot and got to where I am. I got involved in masterclasses, competitions, workshops and all that gave me a comfortable background to develop and create my own Cocktails.

After 5 years working in Lisbon I decided to move to London, one of the most renowned capitals in terms of drinks and bar techniques. In Portugal and in the uk I participated in some competitions and this also brought me some knowhow and recognition before bartenders. The desire to grow, learn, evolve and get as much as I can in my career is what motivates me.

I'm not perfect but in everything I do I try to be perfect. And I think that if we always work with the will to be better, we will always be successful and recognized for what we do.

When I came to London I started working at The Shard, Aquashard restaurant&Bar as Bartender, at the time Luca Missaglia was the Bar Manager, who believed in me and gave me the opportunity to work with a fantastic team of superstars where I learned a lot and it was a big step and start my career in london. After 1 year and a half I wanted to experience a new reality and started working at a British Members Club in marylebone where I became Head Bartender at Bison Bar cocktail bar.

I currently work as Head Mixologist for the Hotel Taj London. An iconic 5* hotel, part of the TATA Group's Taj India hotel chain, which includes the TH51 Restaurant&Bar, a project started in November 2021.

I invite you to visit me and discover our cocktail menu, created together with Beverage Manager Ricardo Lupacchini. reflecting a little the inspiration of Indian cuisine, more specifically spices, savoury, salty, spicy and some very typical ingredients. However the concept of the Cocktail menu is based on the different Biomes in the world. And for each of the different spaces on earth, we created a cocktail inspired by some facts and characteristics of the place itself.

In the era we live in, everything is so fleeting, intense, fast, that we often lose track of what is really important. And the concept of this Cocktail Menu awakens and promotes interest in the world we live in and knowing how to take care of it.
