Hussingtree Gin is owned and run by three gin-loving family members – husband and wife Richard and Elaine, and Duncan, Elaine’s son. The brand takes its name from the village where Elaine and Richard live – Martin Hussingtree, just north of Worcester. The name reflects both their heritage and one of their core values - the importance of ‘local’. Each of their dry gins is inspired by the produce of Worcestershire. Working with like-minded local businesses is at the heart of everything they do.
They handcraft their dry gins in small batches in traditional alembic copper stills. By following the one-shot method they use one of the most traditional methods - this means they only add water to their distilled gin to bring it down to their desired bottling strength.
Each of their dry gins is inspired by produce grown within their home county of Worcestershire. Recent awards include London Spirits Competition 2020 - Silver (Bumbleberry Dry) and Bronze (Asparagus Dry) - a Great Taste One Star Award 2019 (Bumbleberry Dry) and Silver Medal at Global Spirits Masters 2019 (Asparagus Dry).
The 2027 London Spirits Competition gives every entrant greater feedback, transparency and valuable commercial insight. Entrants will receive an expanded score breakdown, constructive feedback on how to improve their spirits, guidance on how to market and sell them, the names of the judges who tasted their entries, final feedback from the Head Judge and a Buyer Market Intelligence Report.
Enter your spirits in the 10th edition of the London Spirits Competition.
