Flora Dalmatica was founded in 2024 in Šibenik, Croatia, and is the city’s only micro distillery. Nestled between the Adriatic coast and rugged Dalmatian karst, it produces small‑batch spirits that capture the essence of Šibenik and its hinterland. The distillery operates in just 28 square metres at the Old Market (Stari Pazar), where limited single‑batch series are crafted with meticulous attention. Every plant is hand‑harvested—immortelle, wild sage, bay laurel, fennel and citrus peel—echoing how herbs were traditionally gathered in childhood gardens and dry‑stone fields, ensuring maximum freshness, aromatic intensity and full traceability.
Distillation happens in traditional copper stills for clarity, finesse and aromatic precision. Each batch is blended and bottled by hand into distinctively shaped bottles that mirror what is inside: flavour, landscape and time. The portfolio is built on experimentation, alchemy and passion, yet rooted in centuries of local practice; each bottle is a tribute to land and sea, to streets and stories, and to the layers of life that define Dalmatia—a city in a bottle.
London Spirits Competition 2026: Gold and Silver for flagship expressions. The distillery’s two flagships were recognised for distinctive character, authenticity and outstanding quality.
Flagship products: LŌR and Badam. LŌR is Šibenik’s first London Dry Gin, distilled with 13 botanicals characteristic of the region. It’s marked by wild bay laurel and hillside herbs of the Dalmatian hinterland, the salt air of the Adriatic, and the city’s contemporary urban energy. The profile is clean, dry and layered—juniper‑forward with herbal depth and a subtle saline edge. Designed for classic and modern cocktails, it works beautifully in G&T, Martini, Negroni and signature serves built around Mediterranean ingredients.
Badam is a proper amaretto made with bitter almonds, building on warm, amber notes to evoke memory and comfort. Its profile is warm, nutty and aromatic—a balance of sweetness, gentle bitterness and spice. The amber colour and rounded texture make it ideal for sipping neat, over ice or in dessert‑inspired cocktails.
Craft & philosophy. Small batches ensure attention to detail and batch‑level quality control. Copper distillation delivers clarity and aromatic precision. Hand‑harvested botanicals emphasise freshness, provenance and sustainability. Recipes draw on the flora, climate and culture of Šibenik and its hinterland, translating the region’s character into liquid form.
