Located just 45 minutes east of Hobart, Dunalley Bay Distillery sits at the gateway to the Tasman Peninsula. This picturesque location, characterised by rugged beaches bathed in southern sunlight, offers visitors a serene escape from the everyday. Overlooking the tranquil Dunalley Bay, the distillery’s rustic tasting huts provide the perfect setting to enjoy their exquisite range of gins. Each sip is a reflection of Tasmania’s environment, crafted with local fruits, flowers, and native botanicals.

Dunalley Bay Distillery’s story began when Mark and Sandra, both coming from successful careers in the property, dairy, and seafood industries, decided to pursue their shared dream of opening a distillery. Their journey led them to a kilometre long coastal property on Dunalley Bay, where they began distilling in 2019. Using coastal rainwater to hydrate their whiskies and ageing barrels just 20 metres from the sea, the distillery’s proximity to nature plays a crucial role in shaping the unique flavours of their spirits.
Inspired by the stunning beauty of Dunalley Bay, Mark and Sandra’s vision was not only to create exceptional spirits but also to establish a distillery that would mirror the area's natural charm. Their gins are more than just spirits; they’re an experience. Visitors to Dunalley Bay Distillery are treated to a ‘ginstronomy’ adventure, where artisanal gins are paired with Tasmania’s finest local cheeses, seafood, fruits, and desserts, making every visit unforgettable.
