The palate shows a satisfying blend of toffee, vanilla, and toasted almonds. These flavours are complemented by delightful notes of cinnamon and clove, typical of spicy riojas.

Lauder’s 25 Year Old, third on our list of “10 whiskey bottles to buy before 2020 ends”, is a great achievement of more than 180 years of Lauder’s tradition. It’s a blend of selected malt and grain whiskies aged for a minimum of 25 years in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon oak casks. The resulting Scotch is a combination of complex and deep flavours of rich dried fruits and subtle spice. Its nose shows off soft heather honey maltiness and smooth leather with luscious oak-notes. The palate features gentle warm notes balanced perfectly between soft oak and malt sweetness with an underlying touch of vanilla. The finish is soft, mature, and long-lingering in the mouth.

The Orientalist Dragon Whisky is the first all-Asian blended whisky in the world, from the three acclaimed whisky regions in Asia — Japan, Taiwan and India. After it is blended with the pure filtered ocean water and finished in Japanese pine barrels. As per the producer’s claim, Umiki is the world’s first ocean fused whisky.

Blenders Pride Reserve Collection Whisky was launched in 2011. It’s an exceptional blend in which Scotch malts are matured through the Solera process in the most select of casks. It’s a smooth blend of Scotch malt and Indian rain spirit with the fruity palate.
